Dental implant

A dental implant is a small but extremely strong titanium alloy screw that is used to surgically replace missing natural teeth. The implant is drilled into the jawbone so that the screw can firmly connect the denture to the jawbone. It thus functions like the root of our natural teeth.

No matter how the loss of a tooth happens, it lasts forever and could affect anyone.
  • Emotional stress
  • Bad mood
  • Lack of self-confidence
  • Physical consequences may occur
Thanks to implantology or tooth implantation, we can replace a missing tooth with a replacement that can last a lifetime without any unpleasant side effects. This is done with a fixed denture made of titanium, which creates a completely similar appearance and feeling compared to your own teeth. We look forward to helping you to live a full life and enjoy your smile again!

WHAT IS A DENTAL IMPLANT?

A dental implant is a small but extremely strong titanium alloy screw that is used to surgically replace missing natural teeth. The implant is drilled into the jawbone so that the screw can firmly connect the denture to the jawbone. It thus functions like the root of our natural teeth.

IN WHICH CASES ARE THE IMPLANTS USED?

The implant is used to replace missing teeth and to support loose, removable dentures.

WHY IS REPLACEMENT OF LOST TEETH IMPORTANT?

Even a single missing tooth can cause a lot of emotional stress. Losing your perfect smile due to a missing tooth or two can lead to depression and loss of self-confidence, which in turn can affect your work and personal life. In addition to mental changes, the false bone in the place of the missing teeth withers, which makes it difficult to replace the teeth later. All of these can be prevented with the right dental implant.

HOW IS AN IMPLANT-BASED DENTURE CONSTRUCTED

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PROCESS?

Our dentists perform a series of tests to help plan and position the implant. The most important of the imaging tests is the CBCT, which provides a 3-dimensional image of the jawbones, so we can accurately assess the bone supply and available space in space. If the quality or quantity of the bone is not adequate, bone replacement or bone augmentation may be necessary before the dental implant is placed. If all the conditions are met for the start of the intervention, the titanium implant is surgically placed in the jawbone, where a tooth of your own once was. The intervention is performed under local anesthesia and does not involve any pain. After surgery, it is left for 2-6 months until the bone grows around the implant. During this time, you can wear a temporary crown. After the healing period, a natural-looking ceramic crown is fixed on top of the implant to fill the space of the missing tooth and restore the smile. Dental implants are increasingly used to replace missing teeth due to their aesthetic and functional advantages. Dental implants are now considered the treatment of choice over traditional tooth replacement options such as bridges and removable dentures.

AM I A SUITABLE CANDIDATE FOR IMPLANTATION?

Anyone who is missing one or more teeth due to injury, disease, or tooth decay is a good candidate for dental implants.

HOW DO I TAKE CARE OF THE IMPLANT

Dental implants need to be diligently cleaned and maintained, just like natural teeth. Without routine oral hygiene practices, gingivitis, infection and even bone loss can develop. Therefore, regular brushing and flossing is extremely important. It is also important to visit your dentist every 6 months, who will be able to examine your mouth and ensure that the surrounding gums and bone remain healthy. Do you have any further questions?
